Wayne Brown, 25, of Atlantic City was found dead of a gunshot wound on the 11th floor of the 24-floor Madison Hotel on Wednesday, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said.
Keshawn T. Faulkner, of Atlantic City has been charged with Brown's murder as well as robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm, Tyner said on Sunday. Faulkner was taken into custody on Friday afternoon, processed and taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility, he said.
Authorities have not said what prompted the shooting.
Police responding a 9-1-1 call found Brown at the hotel at 125 South Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. with a gunshot at 11:45 a.m., Tyner said.
An investigation is continuing by the ACPO Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department.
